Easter Weekend

Last weekend, we had our annual family reunion in Sumrall, MS. We took Emily, and she was a great baby! She had her milks at the reunion and fell asleep for a little while too. We had her in a little sleeveless dress, but the wind was cool. So, we brought a blanket and a hoodie sweater for her.

On Easter, we didn't go to church because Emily slept late. So, we dressed her up anyway and went out to eat. It was Emily's first trip to our favorite Chinese restaurant. After we got back home, we gave her all of her Easter "happies" the Easter Bunny left for her. She loved her little bunny blanket with her name on it.

We also tried to take a family picture. Emily wasn't looking at the camera...she was watching Chick.

You can't see the frame very well, but it says "Emily's First Easter 2009". Now, I just have to go through the million pictures taken of her to decide which one goes in the frame!!! ha ha

I love this face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4 Month Old Photo Sessions

Since she has soooooo many clothes, we try to do photo sessions everyday, because she only wears things once. This animal print outfit is one of my favorites!! She was such a hottie!

She loves lifting her head up and so does Chick! Emily looks so cute when she's in this position, and it'll usually make her laugh.

Southern Miss...To the Top!!!
I hope this outfit didn't make her look like a boy!!!!

She looks very guilty in this picture!

Mother and Daughter Tea / Easter Egg Hunt

Emily and I were invited to a Mother and Daughter Tea / Easter Egg Hunt by a lady I work with who has an 8 month old little girl. It took Emily a while to decide what to wear, but she finally decided on a cute, spring-y dress.

She fell asleep in the car!

She loved her dress!!! She was happy and ready to go to our first party!

Doctor's Visit Pictures

Here are the pictures from her doctor's appointment that I promised. They just added mirrors in their rooms, so Emily loved that!!!

P.S. I will post about the tea party/Easter egg hunt we went to later.

4 months old!

Emily turned 4 months old yesterday!!!! Her birthday present was squash! I know, I know, it doesn't sound like a good birthday present to you, but it was to her!

She is loving her play mat. I have put a pink poodle and her lion that lights up. I also have a giraffe that crinkles.

After she ate her first feeding of squash last night, we gave her a bath. Then, she was so tired!!! She fell asleep in my arms, and when I put her down in her bed, she stayed asleep on her back. For those of you who know Emily, she does not sleep on her back at all. She was soooooo tired!

Here's another picture of her on her play mat. She loves those giraffe legs. You can also see the pink poodle. It doesn't do anything, but she loves it!

This is one of her new toys. It's her ABC game. She'll spin the ball and whatever letter it lands on, it'll say an animal that starts with that letter. M is her favorite, because it's a monkey!!

Dr. Appt, New Food, and New Bouncer!

She is still loving her glow worm. They were wearing the same thing the other day.

I love this picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's getting some chunky cheeks!

She loves her new bouncer she got from her best friend, Hollyn! She starts talking to it and playing with all of the sounds and moving things.

Girl Power!

Southern Miss...To the Top!!!

She is wanting to sit up all of the time. I think that's why she loves her jumper now, because she can be a little independent. This next picture is of her sitting in my lap with NO support!!! Woo hoo! It's only a matter of time before she's sitting all by herself on the floor.

Chick loves to get some good 'Em kisses! And, Emily watches Chick a lot!

On Monday, Emily went to the doctor for her 4 month check-up. She weighs 11 lbs. 9 oz. and is 24 1/2 in. long. She's in the 15th percentile for her weight and 60th percentile for her height. I guess she's going to be tall...poor thing! I have pictures of her at the doctor's office...I'll put them up later.

Well...we've started the "spoon feeding"!!!! Can you believe it? We are giving her rice cereal with a spoon twice a day now. We will probably introduce vegetables this weekend or next week.
