Learning New Stuff...

I know I haven't updated this thing in a while, but I've been so busy! Just recently I've done so many new things, like saying my first word - "bye bye" and waving. I also said "da da", and Daddy was so proud of me. My newest thing to do now is to go from lying on my tummy and moving to a sitting-up position. I've done all of this in the last week.

While Laney and Joe Joe were on vacation, Dody came to stay with us. Mimi and Poppy had a family emergency, so they were out of town last week. Gabby (Laney and Joe Joe's puppy) came with Dody...I love watching her and Chick run around. I laugh so hard!!!

I've gotten so big lately, because Mommy, Mimi, and Laney keep feeding me snacks...which I LOVE!!!!! All I have to do is make a little noise, and here comes the snacks!!!!!!

I will be 9 months old this Friday. I'm kinda nervous to get on the scale for my 9 month appointment...You know how us girls are with our weight, but I'm sure Mommy will be telling everyone how much I weigh anyway. Here are some recent pictures of myself.

This is my first trip to church at First Baptist Hattiesburg. I've been to church in Vidalia before, but this was my first trip to the church where Mommy and Daddy are members.

Daddy wanted to get a picture of me and him in my "Future Golden Eagle" t-shirt. I only had a diaper on underneath...but we won't tell anybody. Man, I love Daddy's whiskers!

This is a picture of me modeling one of the hairbows Dody made me. It's beautiful!

All you have to do is tell me to smile, and I do it...Mommy tells me I'm going to be such a good listener when I get to Kindergarten!!!

Sometimes I act so shy with the camera (very rare), but I'm still a happy girl. This is one of my favorite outfits, because I'm getting ready to watch some Southern Miss football...Daddy tells me it's great! I'm also wearing another hairbow Dody made.

This is a cute outfit from my friend, Hollyn. It has a giraffe on it, so Dody made me a yellow hairbow to go with it. I"m learning my colors with all of these hairbows!!!

More Summertime!!!

Happy 4th of July! I wore this out to the mall with Mommy, Laney, and Joe Joe. I was very festive! I gave my friend, Hollyn, a dress just like this for her birthday. I hope she likes it!

We went to my friend, Hollyn's first birthday! That cake and ice cream looked good! I wish I could have had some.

I am ready for my bath, but I had no idea what kind of bath it was going to be.

It was my first time in my duckie tub! I also had a rubber duckie in my hand that I got from Hollyn's birthday party. I'm a big girl now!!!

My Summer Fun!

We started off the summer by going to Mommy's friend, Ashleigh's wedding. I was adorable with Mommy and Daddy.


I also spent my first time in Big Church with an outfit Laney bought for me. I wasn't sure about my floppy hat.

I've also taken my first dip in the swimming pool. I had on my bullet proof vest (I mean...floatie). I'm ready to go swimming!!!

I wasn't sure about the water. It was hot with my vest, and the water was hot too! I didn't cry but I didn't smile much either. I might try it again another day.

I just got back from Mommy's favorite Chinese restaurant in Natchez. I love my mat on the pool table. I can lay out all of my toys and play!

6 months old!!!

Ok, I know I haven't updated this blog in a long time, so here ya go!

At her 6 month appointment, she weighed in at a whopping 18 lbs. 3 oz. She is in the 87th percentile for her weight and 77th percentile for her height. I'm afraid she's probably going to be tall...poor girl! I'm glad to see that she is no longer skinny!!!

This is the outfit I wore for Southern Miss as they were going to Omaha for the College World Series. Southern Miss...to the top!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (This cheerleader outfit is actually a size 18 months, but I still wore it).

This picture was taken about a month ago on our way to the mall. She can stand up by herself for a little while.

Easter Weekend

Last weekend, we had our annual family reunion in Sumrall, MS. We took Emily, and she was a great baby! She had her milks at the reunion and fell asleep for a little while too. We had her in a little sleeveless dress, but the wind was cool. So, we brought a blanket and a hoodie sweater for her.

On Easter, we didn't go to church because Emily slept late. So, we dressed her up anyway and went out to eat. It was Emily's first trip to our favorite Chinese restaurant. After we got back home, we gave her all of her Easter "happies" the Easter Bunny left for her. She loved her little bunny blanket with her name on it.

We also tried to take a family picture. Emily wasn't looking at the camera...she was watching Chick.

You can't see the frame very well, but it says "Emily's First Easter 2009". Now, I just have to go through the million pictures taken of her to decide which one goes in the frame!!! ha ha

4 Month Old Photo Sessions

Since she has soooooo many clothes, we try to do photo sessions everyday, because she only wears things once. This animal print outfit is one of my favorites!! She was such a hottie!

She loves lifting her head up and so does Chick! Emily looks so cute when she's in this position, and it'll usually make her laugh.
